MSF Japan has thousands of supporters throughout Japan. The organization would like to leverage this support to help broaden support for humanitarian aid from Japanese society. MSF Japan has developed a new concept to help achieve this goal: local groups of Association members, MSF field staff and volunteers throughout Japan that will implement activities to raise awareness with local audiences. 
As this is a new and untested concept for the organization, MSF Japan has decided to validate it. The project coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of this validation phase. 
To ensure a successful implement of this validation phase, MSF Japan is recruiting a project coordinator. The project coordinator will ensure a successful validation phase in coordination with and a testing group under the supervision by the project Steering Committee and, to be located in the Tokai region. 
The project coordinator will coordinate necessary interactions between stakeholders, clarify objectives and outcomes, making sure processes are implemented according to the determined timelines and milestones are achieved. At the end of the trial phase the coordinator will implement a transparent and comprehensive evaluation to gauge the success of the trial for a go/no-go decision by the project’s Steering Committee.

Depending on this decision, the concept will be expanded establishing local groups in more regions or abandoned.

The project coordinator reports to the General Director and the project Steering Committee, which is accountable for the project’s success. Daily management of the position is with the Japan Innovation Unit.
