Senior Official Visits to Japan

•    Support the development and implementation of PR activities on the occasion of FAO high level official’s visit, including meetings with ministry officials, parliamentarians, media, as well as private sectors.

Partnership

•    Support in maintaining good and active relationships with new and relevant entities, including the private sector, academia and civil society organizations, and assist with managing existing partner risks;
•    Support regular communications with partners, plan and implement joint activities; and 
•    Coordinate with and provide support to HQ and other related offices for partnerships;

Communication

•    As part of the LOJ Communication Team, serve as an overall focal point in LOJ (Liaison Office in Japan) on all communication issues;
•    Participate in OCC (Office of Communications) led FAO internal communication network meetings (as possible within reasonable hours) and represent LOJ sharing the update, and bringing back to LOJ key issues for attention/action;
•    With the support of Communication Team colleagues, identify existing communication partners and identify gaps and opportunities and suggest immediate changes;
•    Identify and prepare relevant information to be uploaded on LOJ website and oversee update of the website and mailing list;
•    Support migration of the LOJ website;
•    In consultation with relevant colleagues, undertake quality assurance of translation and notification be disseminated including those posted on the office website;
•    Ensure compliance with OCC standards, including appropriate review and clearance processes;
•    Arrange all communication materials to follow FAO clearance processes and comply with FAO standards; and 
•    Further guidance regarding FAO communications, policies and procedures can be found through the FAO intranet, OCC section.
