Purpose of the position
Under the direction of Marketing Manager, Marketing Officer (Loyalty) is in charge of loyalty campaigns aimed at enhancing donor engagement, retention, and cultivation, primarily (but not limited to) through direct mailing. This role involves managing these campaigns from planning to implementation, ensuring that MSF Japan can effectively and efficiently build lasting relationships with donors and collect funds to contribute to the organization’s humanitarian and medical aid activities.
Objectives
Marketing Officer (Loyalty) is expected:
- To develop donor loyalty campaigns including planning and implementation, making alignment with entire fundraising strategies.
- To develop implementation plans for loyalty campaigns using direct mailing and other marketing techniques.
- To manage vendor or supplier for loyalty campaigns.
- To manage income and budget forecast related to loyalty campaigns.
- To monitor results, analyse and report on loyalty campaigns.
Main Responsibilities
1 .Planning
- Develop an annual loyalty action plan based on results analysis.
- Research and implement new customer retention methods and tools.
- Develop overall loyalty campaign plan, including strategy development (objective setting, KPIs, communications), target audience selection, budgetary control (revenue, ROI), and scheduling.
- Select vendors through a competitive and due diligence process.
2. Implemention
- Develop an annual plan for donor loyalty campaign and develop an income/expense plan, revising as circumstances dictate.
- Select target segments based on analysis.
- Develop appeal content for donor loyalty campaign with marketing content team and vendors.
- Develop an annual plan for new donors, revise the content of donor communication letters, and manage work with related teams and vendors.
- Manage contract signing, estimating, delivery scheduling, and invoice processing related to donor loyalty campaigns.
- Create information sheets related to donor retention campaign and share with stakeholders.
- Research and learn best practices from other MSF sections and NGOs to optimize current plans.
3. Monitoring & reporting
- Monitor the results (response and revenue) of the donor retention campaign and provide updates to the Marketing Manager.
- Monitor and analyze overall donor loyalty program and propose revisions to the Marketing Manager as necessary to enhance its effectiveness.
- Manage the execution of expenditure and report to the Marketing Manager in a timely manner, making recommendations for budget reviews as necessary.

Essential
- Strong interest in and commitment to international humanitarian work and the work of MSF.
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work on a schedule.
- Ability to manage and progress multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative as part of a team.
- Experience in vendor management, including selection, negotiation, and monitoring.
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
Desirable
- Experience working for a humanitarian organization or NGO.
- Experience in fundraising and/or direct marketing.
- Experience in both offline marketing (including telemarketing) and online marketing.
- Experience in customer experience management, membership program development, event planning and management, and fan marketing.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, data analysis tools, and marketing automation tools.

・Salary is determined based on job grade.

・Two full days off per week. In addition to annual paid vacations (24 days/year), year-end and New Year vacations and congratulation or condolence leave are available.
・Salary includes 20 hours of fixed overtime pay.・Probation period: 6 months
